Implementation of actions aimed at improving local water cycles

Increasing soil cover and forest management, biomass input, and moisture retention capacity. We plant water. More than 150 hours of training, fieldwork, technical monitoring, and participatory activities developed throughout the project.

Dryland agroforestry systems contribute to improving water infiltration, increasing vegetation cover, reducing erosion, and increasing the soil's capacity to retain moisture. In addition, they allow for the diversification of food production and increase the resilience of territories in the face of increasingly frequent drought episodes in the Girona regions.

Through pilot projects, participatory processes, and alliances with organizations, educational centers, landowners, and citizens, it is possible to transform municipal spaces into territorial laboratories focused on biodiversity, environmental education, food production, or community cohesion. Our goal is to generate the maximum ecological and social impact by leveraging existing resources and identifying complementary funding opportunities.
