#Biophilia moves us
Biophilia is an invitation to be part of a social fabric committed to expanding the possibilities of life in the territories we inhabit.
An invitation to observe, participate, collaborate, and contribute to building a future where people and nature thrive together.
Who we are
We strengthen the bonds between people, communities, and the living world
Biophilia is a non-profit association that promotes initiatives aimed at fostering biodiversity, landscape restoration, food production, ecosystem vitality, and the resilience of the communities that inhabit them.
We work from the conviction that people are not separate from nature. We are part of the same network of relationships, and the quality of these relationships determines the health of ecosystems, the well-being of communities, and the opportunities for future generations.
That is why we promote projects, training, activities, and collaborative processes that contribute to creating more diverse landscapes, stronger communities, and a more conscious relationship with the living world.
Nature
Every expression of life reflects the land that hosts it

What we do
What problem are we trying to solve?
We are experiencing a time marked by biodiversity loss, soil degradation, decreasing ecological fertility, rural depopulation, and increasing vulnerability to climate change.
These challenges are not isolated phenomena. They are part of the same reality: the weakening of the links between people, ecosystems, and the territories that sustain them.
In response to this context, we promote initiatives that contribute to increasing biological diversity, fostering local food production, revitalizing rural areas, and generating new forms of cooperation among people, communities, and living systems.
We cultivate #hope and a #network of relationships
How we do it
Our way of doing things
We believe that the great ecological and social challenges of our time cannot be addressed in isolation. That is why we promote inter-cooperation among individuals, communities, organizations, administrations, and initiatives that share a commitment to the future of our territories.
We act as catalysts for collective processes that foster knowledge exchange, build trust, and develop shared responses to contemporary challenges.
Our approach is inspired by bioregionalism, understanding that each territory has its own ecological, cultural, and social characteristics that must be recognized, cared for, and enhanced. At the same time, we understand that current challenges transcend administrative borders and require a translocal and transnational vision capable of connecting experiences, learnings, and initiatives from around the world.
For this reason, we help build bridges between territories, facilitating the circulation of knowledge, practices, and experiences that strengthen movements led by rural communities and increase their capacity for influence, cooperation, and transformation.
We believe that the most robust ecological transitions emerge when they are driven from within the territories themselves, respecting their identity, diversity, and capacity for self-organization.
